Take a small portable device for music, not a boombox.

Bring your favorite music, but play it out loud only if others agree.

Ask your skipper if there is a connection to the on board stereo for your iPod/iPhone. 

Be aware that sound travels a great distance over water; be mindful of any other boaters, or landlubbers who may not appreciate hearing your music choices.
