With four people on board you can fill up a 20 gallon garbage bag in two days!  Do all you can to help keep the volume of garbage down.  You can crush cans, recycle packaging at home and remove dry cereal from boxes and store in plastic bags.

If you go shopping and buy more items, recycle the packaging on shore whenever possible.

If you are leaving the boat, ask if you can take garbage / recycling ashore with you.
