Fueling

When fuel is being put aboard, the #1 rule is no smoking.

Stay out of the way and allow the captain to concentrate so he/she doesn't put fuel into the water tank.

Fumes linger so check with the captain before making any open flame or using boat gear. 

To new charter captains:

Ensure the fuel gauges are in working order so that you can accurately estimate the amount of fuel you are pumping into the boat. Vent lines on tanks can let a surprising amount of fuel enter the waterway, which for obvious environmental reasons you do not want to happen.
