A spectacular trip up the Sunshine Coast, stopped at Pender Harbour, Jedidiah Provincial Marine Park, North Thormanby Island, Lasqueti, Savary Island, Cortes Island, then to Lund for last minutes supplies, water and fuel. We ate a yummy cinnamon bun at Nancy's bakery on the boardwalk before heading into Desolation Sound. The greatest thing about Desolation Sound is the lack of human impact: no cellphone coverage, no internet, no buildings, no cabins, no houses, no power lines. Yes, lots of fancy power boats but once you go a bit further in, it's mainly sailboats and lots of free space to be. Tekearne Falls is a favorite, along with West Redonda Island.
